The setup of the vibration monitoring and base isolation platform of the Sarcophagus of the Spouses, housed at the National Etruscan Museum of Villa Giulia in Rome, has been completed. The task required adapting and painting the platform tested on the shaking table, thanks to Intermec Production of Rome, the temporary relocation of the statue, thanks to Arterìa of Rome, and the setup of the new platform, thanks to TLS of Latina. The setup took advantage of the double-height space above the glass case to lay a temporary double girder with two overhead hoists. The hoists were used to disassemble the glass case and the base slab of travertine, rotate the new platform transported inside the Museum in a quasi-vertical position, then to reassemble the case int exhibit configuration. Finally, the 24/7 monitoring system was installed, capable of sending alert and alarm messages to shortlisted smartphones.
